Emme is a lot like Reagan was, tall and chubby :) I can't believe she is 6 months already! She started rolling over at about 4 months but she is a lot better at it now and she moves in circles to get where she wants to go. She is starting to get up on her knees so I'm sure crawling is right around the corner. I noticed at the doctors office that she is cutting her first tooth which explains the fussiness she's had the past few days. Nights are still an issue. She is still getting up 2-3 times a night wanting to eat so needless to say I'm pretty tired but I do get help when Tim is home and when Matt gets home from school he always wants to hold and play with her til I make him do his homework. Matt and her seem to have a special connection which is fun to watch.

Overall Emme is a healthy happy baby growing up way too fast but I enjoy going through it all again and remember what it was like with Reagan since my memory is horrible. I really need to do better at blogging and journaling to remember all these things!

I don't have many pictures lately, just what I have taken on my phone because I lost our camera when we took the kids bowling last month. I'm still so mad about it. But we just got a new one a couple days ago so hopefully I wont lose this one!

Matt's birthday

Matt's 10th birthday! I can't beleive Matt has turned 10! It doesn't seem like he's been with us for 3 1/2 years already!

Well for his birthday Matt decided he wanted to go ice skating, something that he had never done before but we thought it would be fun for him. He invited a friend Kyle to come with us. The first few times around the rink he stayed against the wall but then he got brave and tried it on his own. He did pretty well! Reagan went as well and with the help of daddy she had a blast but Tim's poor back was pretty shot by the end.

Matt also got to pick where we went to dinner so it was Red Robin this year which is a change from the normal Red Lobster.

Matt is such a good big brother to Reagan and Emme, he has learned the art of feeding Emme her bottle which is a huge help.

He's been really busy lately with school and scouts and soccer. Soccer ended today with him scoring his record high of 5 goals! Go Matt, we are looking forward to the day he goes pro! He will start wrestling next and he's excited for that.

I can't believe Reagan is 3! I have to say that besides the tantrums that 3 is such a fun age. She's such a good helper and so fun to have conversations with. She always has an answer for everything. I keep telling myself I need to write down all the funny things she says through out the day. Her new kick she's on is going to Disneyland, yesterday while in the bath she asked if we were going to Disneyland and I told her not yet and she said because we need to get dressed first and I said no and she said oh because we have to pack our bags first? How can I not take her now? Hopefully next summer we can make it.

For her birthday we took her to her favorite place....the merry go round at the mall. Whenever I have change and she finds it she tells me it's for the merry go round.

Tim also got her tickets to the live Max and Ruby show that came close to town so he took her and she had a blast, I was sad I couldn't go and see her facial expressions but he did get some good pictures.

We seriously love this little girl to pieces and I'm so glad I get to be her mom!

I went to bed on Sunday night feeling pretty good, I knew my mom was coming to town and then I would feel good going into labor anytime after that. I woke up about 4 and went to the bathroom and went back to bed but was feeling some back pain. I didn't think too much of it since I had been having back pain on and off for a couple weeks. After about a half hour it didn't go away so I decided to go out to the couch and try to relax. About 10 minutes later I noticed that the pain was getting more intense so I started to time the contractions. The first one was about 9 minutes apart then the next was 7 then 5. I thought that was weird and thought maybe I was timing wrong but the pain was getting bad so I went and woke up Tim telling him I thought it was time. Anyone that knows Tim knows that he didn't get up the first time I woke him up. I went and started getting my stuff together and went back and woke Tim up again. I knew it would take him awhile to get ready so I got Reagan up and ready to go. I had Tim get Matt up and call our friend to ask her if we could bring the kids over. After that Tim asks me if he had time to shower. I was frustrated at him for being so slow by this point and told him no he didn't have time and that we really had to get going. We left the house about 6:30am and dropped off the kids and got to the hospital about 7. We checked in and I got into the room where they determine if they will admit you or send you home. They checked me and I was at a 6 so they took me back to the labor and delivery room. The nurse I felt was taking her sweet time getting all the paperwork ready and getting my IV and all I really wanted was my epidural. My contractions were on top of each other and I couldn't deal with the pain anymore. The doctor came in and checked me and I had progressed to a 7 and she called for the epidural and then she went off duty and a new doctor was on his way in to check on me. By this point I was feeling like I was going to die from the pain. The new doctor came in a few minutes later and I told him I thought I needed to push. I think the doctor and nurse thought I was crazy and didn't believe that I was serious but he said he would check me. He then tells me he has good and bad news. Bad news...no epidural. Good news I was at a 9 and after he broke my water I could deliver the baby. All I said was I couldn't deliver without an epidural but no one seemed to care and said I had to anyway. RUDE!! So after about 5 pushes I delivered Emme and I survived! So we got to the hospital at 7 and Emme was born at 8:25am. That's the condensed version since I don't really want to talk about what a baby I was being :) but the main point I would like to make is it's a good thing Tim didn't take that shower or I may have delivered at home or in the car! Hopefully this post makes sense because I had to redo it like 3 times due to technical difficulties!

Oh Reagan...

For those of you who don't know, Reagan is quite the character who says the most random things for example the other day I asked her to go get a diaper and she looks at me and says "Mommy, I too sick to get a diaper." Or the other day she saw her binky and said "oh binky I missed you!"

But today takes the cake. I was sitting on my bed watching TV and Reagan comes in and lays by me and says with the saddest face, "Mommy, Daddy not like me anymore." I was like what!! So I ask Tim to come into the room to ask him what happened and why she would say that but Tim was just as baffled as I was and I could tell it just broke his heart that she said that. We're still not sure why she said it or where she learned to say that but like I said she picks up the most random things. She's a little too smart for her own good but we don't know what we'd do without her!

The addition...

We are happy to announce that we are adding to the Masias clan!! I am a little over 12 weeks along and due around August 9th, although I am shooting for earlier to avoid having another 9 pounder. :)

The first 10-11 weeks were pretty rough as far as being sick but I've been feeling much better the past week. I'm pretty sad about having to go to a new doctor and delivering in a new place, we've even considered going back to Utah for the whole summer so I can deliver there but I think I'll just suck it up and deliver here.

Matt was a little shocked when we told him but he said he just hopes it's a boy so the baby wont boss him around like Reagan does. LOL!!! Reagan knows there is a baby in mommy's tummy and is learning to be a little softer and not jump on me all the time.

We'll keep you posted on the pregnancy.

So I decided to buy a PS3 for my after Christmas gift. I also bought Call of Duty. I am not, nor have I ever been someone that is into playing video games. I love to play them when I play but I have never went out of my way to play but thought that it would be fun to get a PS3 and start playing. I thought Jasmine was going to get me one for Christmas because that's what I hinted to her that I wanted but I got other great gifts instead. We decided that I could use some of our gift cards and cash that we recieved for Christmas and put it towards a PS3. Jas was very nice to let me do this but she did have one condition...play it and don't just buy it and let it sit. I have played it. With all the passion that my heart can send to my finger tips, I have played it. With the exception of the last couple of days I have played it for about 4 hours per day. The problem is that I do not think that I am getting any better. I feel bad for my teammates because I am not very good. For those of you who have never played the game, you can hear other people's voices that are playing with you or even the players that are playing against you. I am always being heckled. I even checked my messages the other day and someone sent me a message that just said "gu suck". I am pretty sure I am being put down by 10 year olds. I have got news for you gamers. I am proud of my poor gaming talents. For those of you that are good (you know who you are...Isaac) get a life! I want you to know that I will continue to play but now I play for me. I am not sorry if I get put on your team or if we lose...deal with it!

New Flip For Christmas

I decided to get Jasmine a Flip camera for Christmas. I thought that this would really help her blog more often and help you, our readers, stay updated with our little family. So I encourage one and all to harass Jasmine if she decides to stop blogging. You can do this in a variety of ways including...texting her, calling her, emailing her, facebooking her, or even coming to Iowa and confronting her in person. Updates from Iowa

I know most of you have probably given up that we would ever update our blog but since we moved I figured this would be the best way to keep people updated. :)

So far we have adjusted well to moving to a new state. Tim has been doing really well in his new job and is enjoying it. He's on the road alot traveling to different high schools in northeastern Iowa.

Matt is enjoying his new school and making new friends. He is involved in cub scouts and we have signed him up for basketball and wrestling that will start in January.

Reagan keeps me very busy. Her favorite thing right now is to watch Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go. She could watch them all day if I let her. She is also very bossy and expects everyone to listen to her, especially Matt and Matt is nice enough to give in to her and take her bossiness in stride.

We have started meeting new people and making new friends but we sure miss all of our friends and family back home.

Sleeping Beauty, Both Of Them...

Personally, I like her next to me. I get to wake up next to that cute face everyday. Jasmine is the selfish one that wants to kick her out.

But now that Reagan and Jasmine are sleeping the whole night in their own beds, Jas is a whole lot more friendly throughout the day. Plus she may have the energy to do more housework.

Before all you women get mad at me, and write your I hate you Tim comments, I want you to know that I was just kidding. I realize that I married a girl that is so far beyond me and that I am lucky to have her in my life. She is a great wife and mom. I could not ask for anything more.

4 nights and counting

So most of you know that I'm a bad mom and let Reagan sleep with us because she wouldn't sleep in her crib. Well 4 nights ago I knew I couldn't have her sleep with us, she was completly taking over the bed and it was getting more difficult to sleep. I called Tim at work to let him know that Reagan was going to sleep in her crib and to prepare for a long night of crying. So that night I get her to sleep and put her in her crib sure enough she started crying but by some miracle she only cried for 15 minutes and stayed there the rest of the night! It was like Christmas! Now every night she is crying a little less and I am sleeping better! I know this may not be very exciting for all of you but I'm telling you this is major in my house!!

The 4th and Mesquite

For the fourth we went to the fireworks at Granite High. We had fun hanging out with friends and family. It was Reagan's first time to see fireworks but she ended up falling asleep right before they started...there's always next year!

We also recently went down to Mesquite for my brother's wedding, minus Tim who was in Boston for work. We had fun hanging out at my Grandma's and going to the swimming pool to try and keep cool from the 110 degree weather!! hot hot!! Reagan absolutely loves the pool, she would get really mad when I took her out of the pool. We also headed over to Vegas for a day and of course ate at in-n-out!! Delicious!! We mostly just walked around and window shopped since I had a 10 month old and a 7 year old following me around. I mean really who brings their kids to Vegas?! :)
It was nice to get away for a few days but it would've been better if Tim could've joined us but on the other hand we probably saved money from him not hitting the casinos!! lol

Speaking of Reagan...she is starting to walk!! I can't believe it! It seems like everyday she's figuring out something new to do. Right now she loves to talk on the phone and wave bye bye and she loves to play peek-a-boo. Tim recorded a cute video on his phone of her doing it that we'll try to get posted soon. I'm having a lot of fun watching her grow and learn new things. Who knew being a mom was so fun and rewarding?!

Finally an update!!

Once again I've been bad at updating. A lot has happened since the last time I updated but I wont bore you too much with it all so I'll give you the highlights and pictures...Tim got a job, very exciting. He's had to travel a couple times which he enjoys.
Matt passed the first grade and is enjoying being out of school for the summer and just had his last baseball game today in the rain. He mostly plays at the park or goes to his cousins house to play. Yesterday he told me I was a mean mom for not letting him drink coke but I figure he's hyper enough without the help of caffeine. And yes I realize that I drink my fair share of coke but I really do need all the caffeine to function!!
Reagan is now 9 months and very very active! At her appointment she was 29 inches long (97th percentile) and 18 lbs 15 ounces (50th percentile). She crawls everywhere and figured out the stairs. She's also learned how to stand, her record is about 10 seconds.
